All about AWS Community Builder Program

Hello there,

I wish everyone a happy new year!! I really wish all your dreams come true this year. This is my first blog post for 2022, and I am excited about it.

What next??

I thought of sharing some wonderful news with all of you. Last year, I was selected for the AWS Community Builders Program in last October. This is indeed a great accomplishment for me to be among very few testers in that program.

So what’s special about it?

How to Apply?

Applications are open twice in a year, and the super cool news is that it is currently open for nominations. So please apply before 24th Jan 2022 (PDT) and get into this great experience.

Who can Apply?

Anyone who is enthusiastic about AWS, and Cloud practices and inclined towards sharing the knowledge with the wider community. Sharing is caring, right?

What do we get out of it?

We do get a lot of benefits out of this program:

1. Meeting like-minded people: Connecting with people all over the world is the biggest benefit

2. You get free certification vouchers for three exams, one for each level

3. You will get $500 AWS credit for your registered account

4. You will get a one-year free subscription to CloudAcademy

5. You will get the welcome kit and some more swags based on your contributions

My Personal Experience:

I was overjoyed when I was selected for the program. At the same time, I was procrastinating on my “AWS Solution Architect — Associate exam” for a long time. And this program and the peer builders motivated me to give it a shot. And I cleared my exam last November. It was indeed a special moment for me.

And last week I received my Welcome Kit from Jason Dunn, thanks for sending them over.

My four year old loved them all, and he owns it completely.

So I believe this post was quite useful to you to get onboarded/applying for the program.

Honestly, I should admit that the people I see/communicate within the slack channel from this program are simply amazing. I am glad to be associated with them all. Thanks once again for selecting me for the program and gave this incredible opportunity.
