Why Cloud Computing for Testers?

AWS Certifications for QA Engineers

Hello everyone,

I hope all is well with you. Today I’m back with a topic I’ve been thinking about for a while and am excited to write about.

Cloud computing is not a recent development. It has been around for a while, and we learned about it in college when we were studying engineering. The majority of applications today run on the cloud, thus as testers, it is our responsibility to test them. How could you test effectively if you didn’t understand the fundamentals of cloud computing and those terms?

So, it’s an important skill for us. There are few cloud providers and a lot of certifications available.

Why AWS?

I passed the AWS Solutions Architect Associate Exam last year. I should acknowledge that I spent around six months getting ready. I took that exam because of the encouragement I received from my partner. I had my doubts that someone with a background in software testing could figure it out. Once I started studying, I realized that this certification has little to do with coding and instead demands a deep understanding of the AWS services. Learning more about the services was interesting. In fact, I was astounded by AWS’s list of services. You have a service in place for anything!

So why am I writing this at this time? I used to get lots of inquiries about getting certified and how beneficial it was for testers.
The “AWS Solutions Architect — Associate” exam is highly worthwhile to take if you are already an AWS user and enjoy it. I studied utilizing Neal Davis’ Udemy course. I was enrolled in a lot of practice tests and quizzes. They were big assistance.
We must know more about the entire ecosystem in our capacity as testers. In light of this, why not learn more about AWS if your apps are operating there? It is always beneficial to be knowledgeable about the systems we are engaging with, whether you are a tester or a developer.

Go ahead and sign up for the exam if you’re interested, and then start studying. Allow yourself enough time, and set up time in your schedule for studying. Here, consistency is crucial. More information regarding the certification is available here.

Don’t stop at just learning, passing the exam, and getting certified. You can always create a free AWS account and experiment with it.

If the free-tier services are insufficient, join the AWS Community Builders program, which offers a variety of benefits, one of which is $500 in AWS credits, which you can use to build your own projects and continue your learning.

Learning the AWS services can help you stand out in your current position or get a new one in this cutthroat employment market. AWS is still the market leader.
Please disregard claims that AWS certifications are not necessary for software testers the next time you hear them. You get to choose whether or not you’re interested! You will undoubtedly fall in love with AWS Services and its command line.

Best of luck! I’ll be back soon with a technical post.
