๐Ÿš€ Comprehend the Test Objectives: Always have a clear understanding as to what is being tested, why it needs to be tested, who is the end user and what are the expected results. This allows you to stay on track with your testing efforts while also improving your understanding of the product, allowing you to develop test cases and test conditions.

Learn, Implement and Master the Art of Storytelling ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ This can help you communicate better with your stakeholders and clients๐Ÿ’ญ

Of course, some stories must be short, while others might be lengthy. So you can always tweak it according to the circumstance and the audience ๐ŸŽ‡

#Day4

โœ๏ธ Write down notes, it’s a good habit that helps you organize your ideas and classify information. Because your brain cannot retain and recall everything. You can either use the traditional way of writing on paper or a digital way of taking notes. There are several tools accessible, such as Google Keep, Sticky notes, Evernote, Notion, and so on.

Writing benefits us in numerous ways during the testing process, from interpreting a requirement to investigating an issue or a defect ๐Ÿคฏ

โœ‹ Take a moment to appreciate fellow Testers, your team, developers, and other stakeholders โฃ๏ธ

This can be in any form starting with sending a personal note, a small gift card, or a simple thank you card. I have some suggestions on how to show your appreciation or feedback. This can be picked based on the situation whether the person is working along with your or an external friend you made through communities โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ“Œ Quick LinkedIn shoutout with meaningful phrases
๐Ÿ“Œ Send a personal note via email or personal message
๐Ÿ“Œ Send a โ€œ#Thankyouโ€ card
๐Ÿ“Œ Send a LinkedIn recommendation or a testimonial
๐Ÿ“Œ Presenting a small gift card
๐Ÿ“Œ Kudoboard (which we use in our team for sending farewell messages and some special kudos – This practice is inspired by one of our Project managers)
๐Ÿ“Œ Send donations to encourage and support their open-source or community contributions ๐Ÿ’ฐ
๐Ÿ“Œ Nominating them for an award or recognition ๐Ÿ†

With this context, I would like to share the great news about the upcoming event. LambdaTest announced the โ€œ#LambdaTest Delta Awards in Testingโ€ at #TestMuConf 2023 ๐Ÿ†

It’s time to nominate your favorite leader in the Testing field. It may begin with you; feel free to nominate yourself and your team. Consider someone who would be deserving of such a tribute or honor. You may be following someone’s work secretly, and now is the moment to vote for them anonymously. The unsung heroes need to be celebrated.

LambdaTest Thank you for coming up with this wonderful initiative, and for the love towards testers and the community ๐Ÿ–ค I am excited to join this year #TestMuConf as a โ€œ#Lambdatest#Spartanโ€ ๐Ÿ’™

Do you have some more suggestions to celebrate people? Please share them. Together letโ€™s celebrate small and big wins!

This is not only applicable for the designers and developers! Testers should also understand and research the facts about the end user of the system or application.

Knowing your user/audience helps in better UI/UX testing, and understand user psychology. Consider the age group, location, and computer or mobile usage knowledge etc. This aids in the development of better test cases that cover the system’s behavior ๐Ÿค“

Do a proper review of the requirement/project-related documents and ask pertinent questions before starting with the Test Planning. Maintain a tracker of queries and delegate it to the right stakeholders.

Below are a few generic questions; try to come up with ones that are specific to your project:

๐Ÿ“Œ What are the main objectives of the testing process?

๐Ÿ“Œ Who are the stakeholders and what roles will they play in the deployment or release?

๐Ÿ“Œ What are the primary use cases/actions/user flows of the application/system?

๐Ÿ“Œ Who will be the primary/main users of the application/system?

๐Ÿ“Œ What are the expected outcomes/deliverables from this application/system?

๐Ÿ“Œ What are the functional and non-functional requirements of the product? What are testable and non-testable?

๐Ÿ“Œ Are there any security or privacy requirements for the system?

๐Ÿ“Œ Are there any existing systems that need to be integrated with this new system?

๐Ÿ“Œ Does the product need to integrate with any external services?

๐Ÿ“Œ Are there any specific technologies that need to be used in developing the system?

๐Ÿ“Œ What are the details of the tech stack used inside the project for development?

๐Ÿ“Œ What is the expected timeline for completion of the project?

๐Ÿ“Œ What level of accessibility should be considered?

๐Ÿ“Œ Are there any challenges, resources, or external constraints that might affect the project?

I was watching one of the Nas Daily Studios videos with my five-year-old recently. It was about a few Japanese facts. People are incredibly humble and kind. This piqued my interest to study Japanese culture further.

#japaneseculture has a long history of emphasizing excellence and appreciation of detail. Japanese concepts are ideas, values, and beliefs that are important in Japanese culture.

I hope everyone would have heard of #ikigai, and the book “๐‘ฐ๐’Œ๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’‚๐’Š: ๐‘ป๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ฑ๐’‚๐’‘๐’‚๐’๐’†๐’”๐’† ๐‘บ๐’†๐’„๐’“๐’†๐’• ๐’•๐’ ๐’‚ ๐‘ณ๐’๐’๐’ˆ ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘ฏ๐’‚๐’‘๐’‘๐’š ๐‘ณ๐’Š๐’‡๐’†” is a must-read. ๐Ÿš€ Understand and master the skill of “API Testing”

Given the increasing demand for API testing, it is advantageous for Software Testers to be familiar with APIs.

I mentioned a few years ago that one day we would have particular positions requiring API testing skill sets. The demand is growing by the day, and most of us are unsure where or how to begin studying it. #softwaretesters should be equipped with the technical knowledge and necessary tools required to perform an effective API test.

I’ve written a number of blogs about it and spoken at a lot of #conferences, so here’s a consolidated collection of #blogs and sources.

Watch out this space for more #apitesting related resources ๐Ÿ˜Š

Happy Learning with APIs โค๏ธ

As technology and applications continue to evolve, it is important for #softwaretesters to stay ahead of the curve and stay current on changes and trends. Techniques like “Feynman” can help you learn more effectively #learningneverstops

The #FeynmanTechnique is a powerful and creative way to learn ๐Ÿ“š any new concept/tool/technology. It focuses on breaking down complex ideas into simple components that can be understood and applied.

Read this detailed blog to know how #SoftwareTesters may use the #Feynman technique: https://lnkd.in/gS_N_RBM

So it’s not just about #learning, but also about #applying and #remembering the concepts ๐Ÿ˜‰

#Lowcode and #nocode platforms are becoming increasingly popular. We should also acknowledge that these #technologies continue to evolve to better serve us. Yes, these #tools are built using code and provide numerous advantages.

Despite the commotion, we should always give it a try. It does, however, have certain limitations. These tools are appropriate for a variety of circumstances and projects. When we talk about LC/NC tools, we aren’t only talking about “Test Automation” or “Web/Mobile Application Development.” These LC/NC platforms/tools can be used for a variety of tasks.

๐Ÿ“Œ Building an organizational/personal #website
๐Ÿ“Œ Personal wiki page/portfolio
๐Ÿ“Œ Building a Human resources management platform
๐Ÿ“Œ Building a #Chatbots or virtual assistants
๐Ÿ“Œ Developing the #Chromeextensions

#Work takes precedence over everything in the burnout culture known as โ€œhustle,โ€ and working long hours is regarded as incredibly #productive. Because of this #attitude, people are obliged to struggle and work, which hinders us from taking in the sights and sounds around us. We work hard to attain one objective, then sprint to the next, and so on. When will this cycle of pursuing the next high-end come to an end?

There are a number of ways to manage stress in a culture of hustle. This is a reminder for all of you to take care of yourself and your loved ones ๐Ÿงก
