Hello Peeps, Welcome to another blog. I will sharing be sharing my experience on watching my kid using Alexa better than me!

We all knew that AI is everywhere and it’s unavoidable in certain situations. Last year, Testsigma sent me an Alexa along with the Swags. Immediately after unboxing my kiddo took it away from me. That’s a usual one. He always snatches the swags sent to me. We started using Alexa after some quick configuration.

He is so excited to explore and play using that Alexa. Later I discovered slowly that he is using it in different ways. I was amazed to see the ways that he is using it. He is good at using our Alexa better than us, what’s how me and partner felt.

Just sharing some examples here.

1. Whenever I tell him something with duration involved, he will shout “Hey Alexa, set a timer for 30 mins)
2. Playing his favorite songs and albums.
3. Using that as Google to get answer for some questions. Yes, he asks crazy questions like where is Suez Canal, When did Costa Concordia ship sank?. Thanks god we have Alexa, else all these questions will be routed to me.
4. He will ask Alexa to sing a song from him. So funny, Alexa will make it’s own song and sing it.
5. Playing Akinator game with Alexa. Trust me, this is the most interesting and funny one too. With a set of questions, Alexa can find the personality you are thinking. To start with this, we need to say “Activate Akinator”.
6. He plays Tic Tac Toe with Alexa, seriously, I wasn’t aware that Alexa could do this. You better try 🙂
7. Trying Animal Sounds 🙂 Yes you heard it right. Try this, it’s hilarious. To activate just say “Open Animal Sounds”. Now you can say the animal names, or you can say random which will play a random sound. Once done, you can exit.
8. He will appreciate Alexa and say “You are better than Siri”. Alexa will so happy and excited to hear this. She will give some set of standard replies.
9. Once you he asked Where do you live? Alexa replied that she lives in Cloud.

And the list goes on…

Why do I say this? I gradually noticed that he is good at prompting and instructing Alexa. Being AI-powered everywhere we need to understand that these tools are evolving and we can use it to some extent and not to rely on it fully. He inspired me to learn more on the Gen AI technology and the technical terms around it.
